Allied Wellness Collective was founded in 2018, as Second Nature Counseling, to address the need for counseling services in the community. In early 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our team realized the need for broader, more integrated healthcare. After much brainstorming and research, Allied Wellness Collective, an independent practice association, was approved by New York State to form in July 2021.
Now, Allied Wellness Collective is an integrated, collaborative health and wellness organization that provides mental health and related services to support the growth, development, and successes of individuals, families, and communities. Our goal is to provide our clients with holistic, wellness-focused healthcare services that address the whole person, rather than one diagnosis or issue. We believe that comprehensive healthcare requires the cooperation of all healthcare providers and that having all of those providers working together within one organization fosters more effective and efficient services for our clients.
All of our providers meet New York State requirements to provide healthcare services within their profession. We participate in regular continuing professional development so we can utilize the most up-to-date counseling approaches and modalities.
Our team members continuously collaborate and work together to determine the best possible healthcare treatment for our clients and patients. We are a true integrated healthcare team and rely on each others' expertise to make sure we are considering all options for care.
We utilize various tools and assessments when providing care. We believe having consistent feedback on the healthcare process allows our clinicians to adjust therapies to meet the specific needs of each of our patients.
We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of those who have taken the leap to reach their best selves. Providers on our team provide services to address many areas of life, including mental and behavioral health, life transition coaching, medication management, psychological assessments, and more.
Expanding the focus to the whole person, rather than a diagnosis, allows for a more comprehensive approach to improving mental wellness. Utilizing the wellness model in treatment allows us to conceive an individual approach that favors patient-driven treatment.
We are dedicated to being the best we can be so that we can support our patients as they work toward becoming the best they can be.
